Using public transportation you can only arrive in Salamanca by train http://www.renfe.es or bus http://www.auto-res.es The nearest airports are Madrid - Barajas [200 kms. from Salamanca] and Valladolid [100 kms. from Salamanca]. See IBERIA for details. BUS Express Buses from Madrid to Salamanca ran every hour [see the time table]. The bus station in Madrid is in Conde de Casal, which can be reached by underground from the airport [pink line till Mar de Cristal, then brown line till Avda de América, grey line till Conde de Casal] or by taxi [should cost arround 30 euros]. Once you are in Salamanca, you are 3 minutes walking from the FES building, where we have the reception desk [leave the bus station by the main entrance and turn right twice] Colegio Mayor Oviedo and Residencia Universitaria Las Arribes are  just  by the side of FES building. Colegio Mayor Fonseca and Hotel Rona de Alba are  20 minutes walking from the Bus Station. [see hotel.html] TRAIN Trains from Madrid to Salamanca ran five times a day [see the time table]. The train station you need is Chamartin, which can be reached by underground from the airport [pink line till Mar de Cristal, brown line till Avda de América, purple line till Plaza de Castilla and blue line till Chamartin] or by taxi [should cost arround 25 euros). Once you are in Salamanca, take a taxi [7 euros], or bus number 7 [cross Avda Estación and walk till Plaza de Barcelona to take bus 7 till Campus Unamuno] or walk for 30 minutes [Avda Estación to the left till Plaza de España, Avda de Mirat till Puerta de Zamora, Avda de Alemania till Filiberto Villalobos and turn left at Gregorio Marañón, where FES building is] Good luck!
