Grants from the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN)

Grants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC)

Grants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development for Spanish and foreign citizens to study in Spain and abroad (MAEC-AECI).

MAEC-AECI Scholarships

Objectives:

* The development of linguistic and cultural knowledge of Spanish for foreigners, and the study of foreign languages for the Spanish, in public and private universities and colleges.

* The completion of doctoral studies, doctoral dissertation, postdoctoral research, postgraduate studies, training courses and others, in public and private Spanish and foreign universities and colleges.

* European studies, training in cultural cooperation, specialized library studies, expansion of artistic and research studies for Hispanists in Spain and abroad.

Call for applications for the programs "MAEC-AECI" of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for foreign citizens for the academic year 2010-2011.

This call aims at financing the cost involved in training at Spanish or foreign universities, research centres and agencies for foreign graduates for the period from 1 July 2010 and 31 December 2011.The scholarships are intended to support the training of specialists and skilled professionals and, secondly, the creation of scientists, both researchers and technologists, to strengthen academic and research institutions in the countries with which Spain maintains cooperation relations.

Among the requirements, it is necessary that the applicant be conducting studies, research or other activities, which extends beyond the period for which the scholarship is initially granted.

Timelines: Applications for grants and for grant renewals must be completed electronically and entirely in Spanish. The corresponding form can be found following this link: www.aecid.es/becas.

The call includes various programs. Submission deadlines vary with each program:

Caja España: scholarships for graduate students. Deadline:

La Caixa: Masters or PhD Scholarships in Spain, Germany, France, UK and Canada. Deadline:

Banco Santander: Scholarships for postgraduate and PhD for Latin American students, in collaboration with the University of Salamanca. Deadlines:
